Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 220g (1 cup) packed brown sugar
- 75g (¾ cup) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 313g (2-1/2 cups) all-purpose flour (5-1/2 to double)
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
Instructions
Heat oven to 350°. Beat sugars and margarine in large bowl on medium speed about : minutes or until fluffy. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate.Drop dough by level ¼ cupfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with fork. Bake 11 to 14 minutes or until edges are light brown. (Centers will be soft.) Cool 3 to 4 minutes; remove from cookie sheet. About 22 cookies.

- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
Double
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 5-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 24 ounces semisweet chocolate chips (4 cups)
- 1 cup of pecans or candy pieces with standard recipe
- 1:4 cinnamon sugar
